The German section "Verordnung zur Schaffung barrierefreier Informationstechnik nach dem Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz" (BITV) addresses accessible information technology and takes effect since the 1st of January 2006 for all public institutions at federal level.

In reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 (WCAG) published by Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the W3C, this web site claims conformity to WCAG 1.0 "Triple" A.
