Major in Digital Media

Digitization has permeated all areas of media production. Whether we cosume media products on the Internet, on CD-Rom or DVD, on TV or radio, at information terminals or on mobile devices as an OnDemand service or in form of a print product - behind these stand multi-layered processes of production, distribution and archiving.

An attractive target group specific design, intuitive interfaces that are generated dynamically from database-driven content management systems - are only two examples of the close connection between design and information technology which characterises professional multimedia production today. There is a high demand for creative people who can establish a bridge between informatics and design in the development of innovative media applications. This requires a design-aesthetic judgement, as well as the ability for a technical realisation and the reflection of societal impact of new media technologies.
