International Meeting on Meteorological
Optics)
will be held 13-17 June 2004 at the Physikzentrum near Bonn and Cologne in Bad Honnef / Germany. The meeting covers original research on natural optical effects, mostly in the atmosphere. The conference language is English.
Topics are new phenomena of rainbows, ice crystal halos, glories, coronas and iridescence, sky colors, mirages and refraction effects, contrast phenomena, optics of lightning phenomena, auroras, noctilucent clouds and generally light scattering phenomena in the atmosphere. In addition some new aspects of biological luminescence and iridescence or optical phenomena of minerals and gems are welcome.
There will be a number of invited presentations. In addition, the meeting is open to Contributed Papers. The extended deadline for submission of original contributions is January 30th 2004.
